peripheral neuropathy
Peripheral neuropathy is numbness or tingling in the hands and feet, and is caused by damage to nerve endings. Other symptoms may include weakness or feelings of burning, tickling, or pricking in the arms, hands, legs and feet.
Following the completion of my FOLFOX chemotherapy at the end of July 2009 this NEUROPATHY or numbness to feet & hands was the major ongoing side effect.
New patients from late 2009 in Ireland may be receiving a revised Folfox treatment which might help reduce the impact of peripheral neuropathy:

For my part I have been trying B6 vitamin to treat the neuropathy but it has not been successful thus far & that's after 4 months.
I started B6 at the beginning of August and it is now 2nd December 2009.
I have been taking 100mg per day. I will update this page if the situation changes.
