Picture Gallery (Moss)

I turned the key and I walked right in

To this mansion of memory

The chandeliers are like glassy tears

I shed when you went from me

And everything that was wonderful

Brings back my mistakes again

For I broke your heart!!

Now the teardrops start

And I know I deserve every pain

For mansions we build in this life of ours

Are not for just one alone

For a king with no queen has a lonely life

When he sits without her on his throne

I turned the key and I walked away

And carefully locked the door

Then I closed my heart to anything I knew

Which has now vanished for evermore

I have a picture galley

Of all of those I loved so well

And in my dreams they smile at me

And have lovely tales to tell

They do not age, as we must do

They always smile to comfort me

Their love remains forever true

Oh And how dear they are to me

And when time says for me to go

I hope that someone else may be

Guarding those precious tender thoughts

And they sometimes will remember me
