To celebrate the 125th Anniversary,
Steiff are proud to present an outstanding set that celebrates their most famous
inventions: The Teddy Bear and the Felt Elephant pin cushion
As a unique opportunity, Steiff
offers this BEAR & ELEPHANT set as a Limited edition of 125 pieces
The Bear
Made
using a luxurious mohair;
it is 70% mohair, 30% silk. The silk is a gold yarn that is hand stitched
into the mohair by a professional wig maker. It takes 20 hours to make just 1
metre at a cost of £850 per metre.
The bear is 50 cm in height (
approx. 20 Inches )
The eyes are Sapphires, each
surrounded by 20 Russian cut·
diamonds and are set in 18 Karat Yellow gold.
The nose and mouth are cast from a
mould and are made of 24 Karat gold.
The button in the ear is cast from
24 Karat gold
The Bear wears a medallion made of
24 karat gold·
The bear is excelsior stuffed
The Elephant
Margarete once gifted her best
friend Anna Steiff an elephant with the initials AS on the saddlecloth, made by
using pins.
For our piece we re-create the AS
using·
47 diamonds
The diamonds are mounted on 18
karat white gold·
The·
saddlecloth is held in place by 14 onyx beads
The eyes are also made from
onyx beads
It also has the 24 karat button
The tusks are rare mammoth ivory
from the Tundra.
Accompanying Accessories
The bear and elephant come with
their
own lockable presentation case, which is purpose built and lit
There is a
drawer on the front on the case
Inside is a booklet detailing the
history
of the 125 karat Teddy bear edition.
Included is a bottle of gold ink
and
a Mont Blanc fountain pen.
Purchaser's Presentation Trip
A purchaser must travel to Germany to
collect the bear & elephant. Once in Germany at either Munich,
Stuttgart or Frankfurt, the purchaser will be collected and taken to Ulm where
they will stay for two nights in a luxury hotel
They will then receive a tour of
Steiff beyond anything: including The·
World of Steiff (where they will receive their set) and even a trip to the
closely guarded Steiff Archives!
Also included is a tour of Margarete's birthplace where they will be entertained
for evening dinner with someone from Steiff management.
Then they are returned to their
respective airport·
Further points
As this is a global project,
transportation to·
Germany and the transporting of the 125 Karat set back to the end country are
not included (although Steiff can advise and help especially on the 2nd point).
Obviously a ticket from Japan costs more than UK and it is not possible to
create a global price that does not reflect these costs.
